We Lost. Period.

More than anything else—even including the mass immigration deportation—Donald Trump wants revenge.

Enough of the semi-optimistic pep talks. I don’t want to hear another Okay, we lost, so now it’s time to regroup and fight back sermon. Nor am I interested in further analyses about what went wrong and how to fix it. Here’s the unvarnished truth: “We lost, and we can do nothing to prevent the coming apocalypse.” I realize that most folks—normal and MAGA—will accuse me of being melodramatic. “We survived four years of MAGA rule before; we can do it again,” many rational people say.

Beware MAGA 2.0

But most of those same rational people also reluctantly admit that Trump 2.0 will have no rational people working within this new administration. The hiring department for 2.0—with cowering yes men like Don Jr. and VP Vance using the absolute-fealty-to-Daddy-Trump template as their administration’s selection standard—will ensure that the 2.0 presidency will be far worse than the 1.0 presidency. Anyone within the 2.0 administration who dares to question or contradict the principles or particulars of a presidential edict will learn—one way or another—that “insubordination” will not be tolerated by this new president who has made clear his authoritarian proclivities.

The New King’s Commands

And what does this incoming president want? More than anything else—even including the mass immigration deportation—Donald Trump wants revenge. I admire Adam Kinzinger for his defiant stance against Trump and MAGA, but he and any other MAGA-labeled RINO need to be prepared for the coming revenge regime. And prominent Democrats? Let the battle begin—and eventually end, with a loss.

Democrat leaders are generally not the type to arm themselves for literal battle. They leave that to society’s established law enforcement organizations—and the military, if necessary. The problem with that view is that law enforcement agencies and the military branches are full of MAGA disciples. And if forced to choose between the rule of law and loyalty to MAGA, those disciples likely will choose their deep emotional connection to MAGA over a compulsory formal oath to the U.S. Constitution.

Divided Peacekeepers: Prepare for the Worst

So, we will have divided law enforcement and military to protect our deeply divided nation. And at some point, the tensions between the two opposing views within both institutions will erupt. At some point, Trump almost certainly will demand something that will require police and military personnel to choose between Trump and the Constitution. When that happens, the spark will be lit, and from then on, the public—including the prominent folks who spoke out against MAGA—will no longer be able to count on traditional peacekeepers to protect them.

Rational Americans will need to defend themselves from the angry MAGA purists. But 2nd Amendment MAGA disciples have rational folks outgunned.

We lost the election. Before long, we’ll lose our freedom and security.

This really was the most-important election in decades—perhaps in our nation’s history. And we lost. Period.
