This Should be an Obit for Iobit

I don't have time for this post--and it's not really the kind of thing I'd normally write about--but I felt I had no other option.

A couple days ago, as I was working on a freelance project, I noticed that my PC seemed rather sleepy, responding slowly. So I decided to check out programs that might get things moving again. I found a free download from a company called Iobit. I downloaded it and used the program. It worked pretty well at cleaning some files and speeding the PC a bit. So then I decided to pay for a 1-year subscription for the full program that would do a more complete job.

I then downloaded what was supposed to be the full (advanced) program and attempted to use it to fully clean and speed up my PC. But every time I clicked on a button to begin a process that was not included in the free version, the system took me to a page requesting me to buy the advanced version I'd just bought.

Every time I clicked on a button to begin a process that was not included in the free version, the system took me to a page requesting me to buy the advanced version I'd just bought.

So then I went to the company's website, hoping to find a customer service phone number to call. Not surprisingly, no such number exists. So I obligingly filled in the online support request form, explaining the problem (as stated above). That was 24 hours ago. No reply. So, beware, folks, of purchasing products from Iobit.
